Session on Medicinal Plants
A special session on “Medicinal Plants – Their Identification and Uses” was conducted at Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara, on 14 August 2025 in the school auditorium. The programme, held from 2:30 p.m., was attended by the students of Class XI
The resource person for the day was Dr. Rakhi Krishna, an Ayurvedic doctor, PG scholar in Medicinal Plants, and cosmetologist. Dr. Rakhi shared valuable insights into various medicinal plants, explaining their botanical features, identification techniques, and traditional as well as modern therapeutic uses. She also highlighted the importance of preserving indigenous plant knowledge and encouraged students to adopt sustainable practices in using plant-based remedies.
