Bhavan's Vidya Mandir,Elamakkara organizes 'SAHAPADI'

' SAHAPADI ' , a School Social Responsibility Initiative by the Seed Club of Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir  Elamakkara was organized on 30 May 2024 ,Thursday, at Kulapati K M Munshi Auditorium. Among the countless social outreach programmes undertaken by the Seed Club of the school, ' SAHAPADI ' is unique   as  it showcased how to be humane  by  extending support to the less privileged children of the neighbouring locality, by distributing school kits to them. The generous contribution made by the  students, sacrificing their desires,  to ' Seal your Desire ' project    proved  instrumental in making 'SAHAPADI ' a  reality. 

 Shri E Ramankutty, Director, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kochi Kendra presided over the function and distributed the school kits among the deserving children from the locality.In his presidential address, he remarked that Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan schools believe in academic excellence, cultural elevation and societal  commitment and the students are carved into responsible citizens capable of  noble  thoughts and actions.Shri Prasanth Kumar ,Principal, Govt.Higher Secondary school, Elamakkara, Shri Rony John , Head of the Social Work Department, Arike Palliative Care Unit,Smt Vineetha Williams, ASHA worker ,Elamakkara  graced the occasion with their presence.

The first residential camp for the Guides of Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir Elamakkkara and Eroor was inaugurated by Smt Valsakumari  Retd teacher and one among the early members of the Guides in Kerala . ATL community session was conducted at Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara

  An ATL community session was conducted on 25th October 2023 from 9am to 3pm in the Atal Tinkering Lab.Students from Bhavan's Varuna vidyalaya, Amrita Vidyalaya,Punnakkal Govt School and Al Ameen  school attended the same.The participants were given training in Breadboard designing, Bibox tern and Arduino programming.It was marked by the active participation of students.

Pratheeksha 2023 Feria Tecnologica: Edición Jurasica at Bhavan's Vidya Mandir Elamakkara.

 PRATHEEKSHA 2023 'Feria Technologica'  the Annual Inter-school Fest organized by Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara was held on 16 September 2023. The inaugural ceremony began with a mesmerizing dance performance by the students of class XI. Shreya S Pillai of Class XI welcomed the gathering.Principal Smt. Mini K delivered the opening remarks at the inaugural function.

Presidential address was given by CA  Venugopal C Govind,Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Kochi Kendra. Delivering the inaugural address, Dr.K C Unnikrishnan, MD & CEO Xalten Systems Pvt Ltd. emphasized the value of inter school fests in the lives of students. He stressed that in addition to helping children develop a healthy sense of competitive streak, these events provide the participants and the organising batch of students with opportunities for collaboration, constructive thinking and honing of creative skills.Sri E. Ramankutty ,Director Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Kochi Kendra addressed the gathering.   Pratheeksha 2023 effectively combines the enchantment of the Jurassic era with the cutting-edge realms of Artificial Intelligence and technology, as manifested through an array of competitions echoing this theme. 
The festival featured a diverse spectrum of seven tech-driven competitions, catering to students spanning from the tender grades 4 and 5 to the seasoned students of higher secondary school. Participants engaged in a plethora of contests, ranging from digital painting and coding challenges to tech innovation pitches, virtual ramps, robot combat, and the creation of imaginative realms. Adding an element of surprise, an escape room challenge was introduced exclusively for students of grades 9 to 12.
 
The grand finale unfolded with a valedictory function, graced by the presence of the renowned cine artist, Dev Mohan. The event concluded with a spectacular performance rendered by the school band. Bhavan's Munshi Vidyashram, Tripunithura took home the coveted trophy for the overall Champions and Bhavan's Adarsha Vidyalaya, Kakkanad was the first runner up.

  TYE (TiE Young Entrepreneurs) 2023 -24: INAUGURATION CEREMONY and WORKSHOP at Bhavan's Vidya Mandir Elamakkara

 
 
To plant the seed of entrepreneurship among the students,a workshop has been conducted on 31July 2023 at Bhavan's Vidya Mandir Elamakkara by the  TYE(Tie Young Entrepreneurs).
The dignitaries lighted the ceremonial lamp and inaugurated the programme. 
 
Principal Smt.Mini K welcomed the august gathering. Presidential address was delivered by Shri.Damodar Avannor,President, TiE Kerala. Dr.Geemon Korah Executive Director, Mane Kanor gave the keynote address. Shri.Vinodini Sukumar ,TYE Global Chair briefed the programme. Smt.Meena Viswanathan , Chief Cultural  Coordinator & very senior member of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan family graced the occasion.
Shri.Vivek Krishna Govind, Senior partner, Varma and Varma Chartered Accountants offered felicitation. 
 
Students of Std XI attended the workshop in the auditorium soon after the innaguration.

International Yoga Day Celebration 2024 at Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara

Bhavan's Vidya Mandir Elamakkara celebrated the International Yoga Day on Friday, 21 June 2024 with great zeal .The guest of the day Smt. Smitha Pillai,Founder, Five Points International Yoga Studio & Yogasana Sports  Association of Kerala addressed the children in the morning assembly.She highlighted the importance of yoga in promoting a healthy lifestyle and mental well- being.Emphasising this year's theme ' Yoga for Self and Society ', she remarked that Yoga is not just about physical exercise. It is a way to connect the mind ,body and spirit.Yoga display by the students of various classes conveyed the message of unity and wellness.

A yoga session by the NCC Cadets,  a power point presentation on the importance of yoga in  daily life, a yoga  session for teachers by Shri Santhosh Kumar S, Certified Yoga Trainer, Ministry of Ayush were among the various programmes organized in connection with the International Yoga Day.
