Located in a serene, picturesque, 7 acre setting, Bhavan's Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara is the first school of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan to be established in Kochi in the year 1972.

It is a full-fledged Senior Secondary School (I-XII) with over 2250 students affiliated to CBSE. We enjoy a rich tradition of academic excellence supported by strong partnerships with parents, students, management, faculty and the community.

Education is the passport to future giving us the confidence to cruise forward in spite of adversities.  It’s the greatest wealth in the form of knowledge and the greatest asset in the form of values. Schools are where the journey to amass this wealth and asset starts. Education enables each child to choose the right path, shape vision and secure future and helps society also forge ahead in the process. At Bhavan’s we groom students to be ideal citizens of tomorrow while enabling them to identify their potential and choose the right career adhering to human values. We provide

The school has an excellent knowledge bank with a reading room to encourage children to read varied subjects. Children are advised on the kind of books to read, and how to make the best use of what they read, besides developing healthy reading habits from a very tender age.

The Library has a collection of 13906 books. The library also has a CD room where one can browse through the various educational videos. Quizzes on current affairs are regularly conducted to promote reading of the various journals and magazines. An annual affair that sees a tremendous response from the student community is the Pusthkolsavam, a book exhibition, organized by the students themselves.
