CELEBRATED THE QUINTESSENCE OF REPUBLIC DAY

Our country observed the 74th  Republic Day on January 26 to reinforce the spirit of secular India. The day commemorates the adoption of the Constitution of India on January 26, 1950 and also the Indian citizens’ power to choose their government democratically. The students and the staff of Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara celebrated the day with great pride, spirit and passion towards their homeland. The programme commenced at 8:00 am . Smt.Mini K, Principal, unfurled the national flag. In her address to the students, she explained the significance and the sacrifice of the great men who gave away their lives for the cause of the nation. She also motivated the students to be enlightened citizens of the country, and to participate in the development and improvement of the society around them. The patriotic songs presented by the students of the school choir brought out the national spirit of patriotism in everyone. Santra Thankachan, Teacher, Department of Mathematics delivered the republic day message. A skit presented by the students of class XI depicted the role Dr Ambedkar played in the making of Indian constitution.
